The material is a little bit like laminated foam board and left some flecks on my table as I put it together. It certainly tamed the bottle and jar situation in my bathroom. This might be a strange comparison of size, but, if you've used Thayer's witch hazel, that bottle fits in the second tier. Standard body lotion size bottles would likely just fit on the top tier.
It's a fine piece, but it's juuuust too tall for my bathroom medicine cabinet to clear. I have one of those standard apartment home mirror cabinets built into the wall next to the sink, so I have to slide this around to open the cabinet. Not the fault of the product, obviously, but I hope this helps for folks in standard apartment set ups!

This is an interesting item. It is as pictured, but you should know that it is made from a pressed paper-like product that is pretty soft. It still is sturdy and works fine. There is less than an inch of usable space between the shelves--thus two out of the three of my remotes didn't fit it! I'm going to get a different remote caddy, but keep this and use it as an office caddy for small things like pens and pencils, because I like it, I took all the time to put it together, and I don't want to go through the effort of returning it. If your remotes need an inch or more of clearance, they won't fit in here.
It comes with no instructions but it's very intuitive to put together--the pieces just snap in. Then there are a couple dozen very small screws that you will need a screwdriver to put in to secure it.
Recommended only for thin remotes.

No instructions on how to put this together, but not too difficult to figure out. Screws provided, though I didn't use them. What I got looks slightly different than what is advertised. Has extra pieces to support the bottom, which I guess is a good thing, though I don't like how it looks.
I love this.
I've enjoyed it.
