It works perfect for what I needed it for! I also read other reviews and used the hooks to keep it from moving so much! Worked out great! No issues with putting it together either! Overall a great product

I bought this over the door organizer for all my bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. Anyway, I must have over 20 pounds stored on it. It is quite sturdy, able to handle everything I put on it and was easy to install. THe only thing I wonder is it possible to purchase one more section of this organizer in order to have more storage.

I looked around Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, Target and Walmart and had a hard time finding a door storage unit that was simultaneously large enough to hold anything larger than standard spice jars and narrow enough for a 17-1/2 inch door (my pantry has two narrow doors rather than a standard closet-type door). This unit fills the bill nicely.

Assembly is easy enough, although it at first seems otherwise because the shelves basically hang of their own weight and the construction is flimsy until secured by both the screws and the additional weight of the items stored in them.

For my purposes, I decided not to use the over-the-door hooks but rather the "attach to wall" method. Because I was attaching to a door rather than a wall, the supplied screws were too long so I had to substitute for some 1-inch wood screws that I had on hand.

The method for conjoining the two verticle support brackets seemed odd, in that the bottom simply dangled from the top off a smallish hook. That was only not very secure but also means the unit wouldn't lie flat--and constrained the amount of space to store things in the top shelf of the bottom set. So, I instead simply mounted as two units.

As other reviewers have indicated, the setup can swing away from the door when moved and could potentially drop items behind the backless baskets--but having read these reviews, I was prepared with Large 3M command hooks (the salvation of apartment renters the world over). I started with 4 but ended up using 6, just out of an overabundance of care, since some of the items I put on it are smallish, heavy, and contain liquids. It holds a great deal and is doing the job well so far.

Used this to organize my baking ingredients! Love it! Looks great & is very easy to assemble. I did as other reviewers suggested & also purchased command strip hooks to keep the organizer in place & ensure it does not swing forward while opening & closing the door. So far, so good :)

My other half has a tendency to pile junk all over the nigh stand. Little wooden box with darts in it, box of ammo he found on sale, an alarm clock he bought a year ago because he's convinced his is going to break any day now. It's a nightmare. I bought this and hung it on the back of the bedroom door and all of is "treasures" are now right where he can find them and totally hidden from my sight!
I was so happy I bought a 2nd one and hung it on the back of the door in my computer room and filled it with cleaning supplies. I absolutely hate digging under the sink to find cleaning stuff. Now all of my floor cleaners, Swiffer pads and assorted sprays are right where I can see them. It has also stopped me from buying things because I thought I was out of them. Very happy.

I was a little nervous ordering this because of some of the reviews that stated it didn't hold much. I have it hanging on the inside of my closet door in my kitchen. I have a lot of things on it...dog snacks, soda cans, peanut butter, box of trash bags and detergent and its doing great holding everything and not swinging when i open the door. I think if you attach the top and bottom pieces wrong, it could cause it to swing. when attaching, you are supposed to attach the hook to the 2nd ladder post on each the top and the bottom, not the very bottom one.

I read a number of reviews on this before purchasing for myself and I can see why It got the reviews it did. If you are hanging this on a door which you will be opening and closing on a regular basis, you will need to consider securing it with small screws to the door (not an option for most). I rent, so obviously, even if I wanted to, I couldn't put screw holes into any doors. Fortunately for me, I hung this on a door which is never opened and closed. Another issue is the backside is open, and where the two pieces join, creates a bowed effect so the unit does not rest flat against the door, if you put small objects, they will fall back. I went to Michael's and picked up some pipe cleaners and wrapped them to make a backing for each basket so things like my vitamins would not fall backwards and out of the shelf. Overall, since I was aware of these little issues, It was worth the couple extra dollars to create the backing to each basket shelf. It holds a tons of items, even cans goods. The different sized baskets allow for a number of options in placement and use.

My pantry door is exactly 17 & 1/2 inches across. The width is just under 2 inches. The hooks over the door fit perfectly. The 2 larger shelves will not clear the frame and you cannot extend it as it will not fit over the doorknob which was to be expected. (I plan to fix the larger baskets to the wall in the garage as they do include the hardware to easily do this.) I took a chance the smaller shelves would fit and I'm glad I did because they do fit and this was half the price of another one I was looking at. I also took another's suggestion to use the command strips to help secure the shelving to the door because it's a huge help. If your door is as small as mine you do need to make sure you adjust to shelves as far as you can towards the hinge side or it may rub when you open and close.

I was greatly apprehensive upon opening the box. I wasn't sure this unit would be stable or sturdy. However, once together, it has proven to be quite amazing. It is very stable. They do include screws to mount the unit to a door but we have chosen not to do that at it works perfectly fine. The shelves are very easily adjusted so it can hold whatever one decides and however one chooses to use it. It has many uses. We have it in our pantry. And yet, I could see EVERY college student out there using this for a wide range of applications!
