Works very well for all sizes of eggs. The first egg in the skelter is the jumbo double yolk egg seen in the second picture. The jumbo eggs will not roll as well as the regular sized eggs, but I have not had any issues with them falling out. It holds approximately 18 eggs, I have been using this for a few months now.
Keep in mind, this product is only for farm fresh or backyard chicken eggs, and not for eggs purchased at the store.
It holds the eggs well and fits perfectly on my kitchen counter. Exactly what I was looking for to help identify the oldest eggs, and the quality is great for the price. Highly recommend.
My wife asked for this rack. It displays the eggs and keeps them organized without taking up a lot of counter space. She liked the wood ones but didn't like the amount of room they would occupy. This unit is a nice compromise between form and function.
We have 8 chickens, and this rack holds about 18 of their eggs. As to the other reviewers complaining that their eggs fall through - we have never had that happen. The kids love to watch the eggs roll down the tracks and it's an easy way to track your eggs oldest to newest. I even bought one as a Christmas gift for a friend. Love love love it.
We got the black model. Our big girls (brahmas) have just started laying their first eggs (small to medium) and the eggs fit fine! It fits the store bought eggs too, though I had to put them back in the fridge after testing for proper fitting in the skelter! It looks absolutely lovely, especially when filled with them gorgeous brown eggs by our own favorite gals <3 I would love to receive another one as a gift (as we'll have 35 layers by the end of summer) and I'd most definitely consider gifting it to a chicken keeper because I just luv mine sooo much :)

I saw an egg skelter for the first time in a retail store, but it only held a small number of eggs. Went to Amazon and boom, found this gal. We have chickens and had stacks of misc eggs going on the counter when my daughter checked the eggs. Not any more. Now our kitchen feels a little like Professor Potts' kitchen on "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and we LOVE it. I love the small footprint on the counter and never have to wonder which pile I got into. lol We have a large family and this holds plenty of eggs for us. Planning to get more for gifts, etc.
This does just what it states. My only problem is that my hens don’t always lay the same size eggs so the smaller ones will get hung up. When I see a smaller egg in the lineup I just scooch it a bit and all is well. I’ve never had a broken egg even if someone forgets to scooch.
I am just in love with this product. So cute and I get so many compliments.
