Product description caused me to buy the wrong ones! I initially had their 6 oz "large" size set in my cart, but reading their description made me think they were too large, especially since they say the standard size is what is used by Whole Foods & Trader Joe's. Additionally, the sizes are listed by fluid ounces, when all spices are by weight. So my Simply Organic spices bought at Whole Foods contain around 2 oz of spices on average, and the "standard" jar is 4 oz — but that is fluid ounces. The Simply Organic jars are much larger as you can see by my photo. And what I ended up with was smaller than what I wanted.
I should have purchased the "large" 6 oz set, instead of the "standard" 4 oz set their description made me switch to — and you should too.
The product appears to be excellent in quality, packaged well, and worth the money. I just ended up with something smaller than I thought I was getting.

The complete set has so many great features! I am impressed with the glass quality, they are very solid and strong while still crystal clear. The translucent spice labels are of high quality, easy to apply and the perfect size for the jars. They look classy and balanced. I was impressed with the variety of spice names the set includes. I was able to find every spice name I needed without using the extra blank ones. Refilling the jars with the funnel was simpler than I anticipated, a great kitchen gadget I didn’t think of before.
Once I finished putting my spices in each jar, the end result was a well organized and visually pleasing set of my favorite spices. It makes getting at and seeing what spices I have on-hand a breeze. Ok, I had read the reviews, OF COURSE, what I received was pretty ok, seems good quality, no broken bottles, got all my labels... BUT...I spent a little extra to get the stainless steel, close to half the lids are dented...is this a deal breaker? No.... BUT I ordered only 14 in order to check the quality with the hopes of buying more...I intend to contact the company to see if they will, A: reimburse me for the dented items or, B: offer me discount for the items I have already received. Honestly, if they offer me a discount on another order I could live with the dents/imperfections of the original set. So far they’re seriously ok, not perfect but good for what I wanted...
UPDATE: Company was very professional and replaced dented lids. They look wonderful in my spice rack, they’re easy to fill/re-fill and they work well. I will definitely buy at least one more set.
Needed to organize my mess of spice cabinet. These were similar to the target brand spice jars, so I bought them. They are great! Durable (dropped one and it didn’t break phew!) and high quality! Love the chalkboard stickers (I had to readjust some stickers and they still stuck well to the bottle!). I love the funnel that came with them, makes it easy to transfer. Also love the plastic tops that allow you to sprinkle the spices in—which I do often with some (cinnamon and salt). I am buying more for the rest of my spices! Great product!
I bought 2 dozen, and they were such high quality and good value that I ordered another dozen. Although I did wash them before using, washing really was completely unnecessary. I could have easily used these directly out of the well-packed shipping carton. The plastic shaker covers snap on easily and stay on. They fit underneath the generic wire shelving from a big box store, which allowed me to stack them 2-high in the cupboard. The silicone funnel is a nice addition, and the clear labels included a lot of the less common spices that I use. There is more variety of spice and herb labels than even in many of the individual label sets sold alone. I am a real very-satisfied customer who paid full price.

I ordered 5 boxes and unlike some other reviews, had zero breakage. I also ran the group thru the dishwasher prior to filling and no breakage at that time either. I have not tried putting the jars thru once labeled, but I never plan to.
I struggled to figure out just what size was right for me, I relied on the dimensions (I measured my old jars before ordering), and not the "Ounces". This was the best method and I got what I wanted. I have included a picture here that shows several different jars from various spice companies so you can see that are fairly consistent with the 4oz I selected (shown in the middle). I used a silver sharpie to write the names for things that were missing.
The funnel was cute, but I just poured one container to another, using my left hand to hold around the neck of the new bottle to create the tiny amount of funneling that would be needed. Save funnel for water play with the kids.
PRO:
-2 styles of labels so you can choose what you want on top and side. I liked having the option to have BOTH labeled, so having the two sets of labels was a selling point for me. (I chose circle on top for visibility and clear on the side for when it's sitting on the counter.)
-Square jars fit snuggly and don't rattle, they also don't roll if you happen to knock one over
-2 kinds of shakers (I didn't realize until I was done filing them that 2 styles of shakers (large holes vs small holes with pour spout) were provided. A lot of my old spice jars had detachable shake lids that fit these new jars so I just transferred them over. The provided lids are a little flimsier than what came on my spice jars, but were definitely still useful.
CONS:
-I had seen in the reviews the good selection of pre-printed spice names (also a big selling point) and was happy to see nearly all of my spices (even Juniper Berry and Saigon Cinnamon) represented. (Wow!) But was surprised not to find WHOLE CLOVES and CINNAMON STICKS. I also cobbled together RED PEPPER and FLAKES from another set to get RED PEPPER FLAKES. Not a big deal, but if you dislike your handwriting, take note.
-Stickers CAN peel strangely, so that they come with the paper backing. I did this the 1st time and then was more careful to "pick" at the edge to get the label up, versus bending the paper to pop the label (which you would do if the label was die cut from the rest of the page, but these are labels stuck to a page).
-Since I had 5 sets, I could see that there were some labels that were fainter than others across the sets, but my sets were each consistent with themselves.
Overall I love-love this set. I haven't dropped one yet on the stone counter, so I'm not sure about the durability during a fall. I DO NOT see anywhere on the box that these are tempered glass, so careful hands!
I just moved into a condo with a really tiny kitchen. I'm determined not to let that keep me from cooking. I originally stored my spices on a turntable in an upper cabinet, but quickly learned that finding the one I wanted in that dark, crowded space was not fun. I found the sleek little spice rack here on Amazon (2-tier Standing Spice Rack GON
GSHI sold by GS-Technology) but when I filled it with my spices in their original containers, the mashup of different glaring colors from the various labels and caps was distracting and messy-looking. I just completed transferring all the spices into these glass jars and love the clean, contemporary, low-key presentation.
For me, affixing the clear labels on the front of the bottles was a challenge. I experimented a little bit and made myself a paper template which I rolled up and inserted into each jar. That gave me a horizontal line and center point to guide the positioning of the front label so that all of the spice names appear at about the same level when standing side by side on the rack and each is more-or-less centered on the bottle. The finished product is very pleasing display.
I'm very happy with my purchase of these large spice jars. I was needing another kitchen drawer so I decided to move all my spices to a hanging spice rack. I attached the spice rack to the inside of my pantry doors with 3M hooks and then used my new spice bottles to fill the rack. This may sound petty but I really like the little collapsable funnel the seller included...I used it to fill my bottles. I used the round spice stickers on each bottle and they look so nice. Every spice name I needed was already printed on the label...they thought of everything! I would recommend these sturdy bottles (they even come with an inside plastic "sprinkle" piece) to everyone. I don't think you can beat the price for the quality!
I love these spice jars! And I love it came with the lids w/the shake and pour. The funnel is a plus for me, too, because with the price of spices and dried herbs, I want them in the jars not around the opening. I was very impressed and will buy more. Big labels, clear glass bottles. Thank you!
I bought thesed and recieved exactly what I wanted. They are a perfect size and the lids fit tightly. They shipped in good packaging and really quickly. If I decide that I need more I am definately going to buy these ones.
