Suncast Wall Storage Cabinet - Resin Construction for Wall Mounted Garage Storage - 30.25

This is a great little cabinet.
It's sturdy. pretty easy to put together.. relatively easy to mount.
Keep some things in mind.
1. There are no pre-drilled holes for getting wires into the the cabinet.
This might not be a concern in your application, but I'm using this to keep a tv and "amplifier" safe from the elements on my back porch.
I drilled two holes (one on top and one on bottom, both to run power cables through). I filled the holes with paper towels and a strip of duct tape on both sides to keep any homeless wasps out.
2. The shelf can only mount in one location. It was too low to allow my tv to fit, and I wanted/needed the shelf. I just cut some small 1/2 inch plywood strips and screwed them into the plastic where desired. The shelf sits on these fine. Obviously this probably isn't as strong as the original design, but I'm only holding up a couple of pounds.
3. There aren't any concrete anchors for the mounting screws. So if you're planning on mounting to brick/similar keep that in mind.
I replaced the included lug nuts with some tapcon concrete screws (3/16th x 1-1/4 on the bottom and 3/16th x 2-3/4th on top). Works great.
4. There's nothing included to hold the doors open. So (again if your application is similar to mine) you might get the doors slammed shut once in a while by the wind. There's a bazillion "fixes" for that. I'm using a bungee cord temporarily..

Despite these minor hurdles I'm very satisfied with this cabinet. It looks 100 times better than my previous, ghetto 2x4 shelf and tarp setup. Not to mention, it's a lot more functional as well.

I got this and the matching bottom cabinet to put on my screened patio. I wanted to keep my gardening supplies and cat's food and bowls contained and out of sight. Both of the cabinets went together pretty easily, boyfriend did it for me and he hung the top cabinet for me too. It took both of us to hang it, but it wasn't difficult. It feels really sturdy and well attached to the wall. I have quite a bit of weight in the top cabinet, like cases of cat food, and it's holding just fine. I like that the Florida sun and humidity won't damage these rugged resin cabinets The shelves are reinforced with metal and they hold quite a lot of weight. The only "complaint" I have, and it's pretty minor, is that the doors don't line up exactly flush. One side is slightly lower than the other. It's not a problem with the installation either, because the bottom cabinet also has this little flaw. Still, a good, solid, nearly indestructible set of cabinets for a patio, obtained at a reasonable price. I recommend them. Oh, the color "Platinum" is unobtrusive too, it's a grey beige and will fit in with any decor..

A well-made, sturdy cabinet. Good design features giving it strength, particularly the shelve cross-supports. It is large enough in the vertical and width dimensions for my uses; however, shelf depth is but nine inches. For my purposes, a bit more depth would have accommodated my "grand scheme" of items to store. Only reason for the one star deduction.

Couple of notes on assembly and mounting. Follow the directions, particularly the first few steps in the attachment of the sides and back to the base - once they snap in, they're in. The upper mounting holes on the back panel are at 16"; however, the lower two mounting holes are spaced at 19 7/8"; I guess the idea is the upper screws secure the cabinet to the wall; the lower for horizontal stability. I opted to drill holes at the 16" spaced spines for the bottom screws. Speaking of drilling holes, the back panel is solid, you will have to drill through the existing holes.

The washers for the screws are but 3/4" diameter, seems a bit narrow for the load the cabinet maintains it can handle, even though the thickness of the wall "seems" adequate I decided to run a 1" x 1" board along the bottom for the cabinet to rest on. One added benefit of doing this is, when mounting, you can put the cabinet on this board and mount it yourself. Otherwise, it's a two person task.

One other tidbit, the one shelf is centered vertically - 13" usable height space, cannot adjust, only the one shelf ledge.

I ordered 2 of these cabinets and they arrive the next day (today). I bought them based on the reviews and going to Lowes/Home Depot/OSH.. I did not want particle board and metal was too expensive and heavy. That said, both cabinets were well boxed, no damage. All parts were accounted for. The first box I opened I found the assembly instructions inside what I thought was a 'buffer/filler' box. The instructions were PERFECT. Read them and follow them step by step. I wish Ikea and others were as well written. I put a 1x2 inch board across the wall to help hold the cabinets in place and level while I mounted them to the studs. I'm leaving the board up to help support the weight and because I just don't fell like taking it down. The 4 bolts that came in the kit are long enough and strong enough to safely mount the cabinet to the wall. I took my time and everything lined up (including the doors). I'm very happy with these so will be ordering 2 of the Mega (80 in tall) cabinets next. My garage will be looking very nice very soon. Thanks Suncast for a great product and Amazon for having the Prime (fast) delivery. Today is Sunday and tomorrow is Labor day..

I bought two of these units to put above my workbench (see pics). I found the plastic pieces quite sturdy, and that was strengthened even more by metal supports. The metal supports attach with screws, and be real sure to only snug the screws as you can't over tighten them without stripping.

I did find the doors hard to open. In fairness to the manufacturer, this may be because I have the cabinets sitting on a shelf vs being hung. Perhaps if the cabinets were hung as intended, the doors would open easier. I found the door handles hard to grip, so I added knobs as you can see in the pics I've posted.

We bought two of these cabinets for extra storage area out in our garage. The enclosed instructions were relatively easy to follow as I remember. It's been a couple months since I completed the assembly and hung them on the wall. A couple places in the instructions I had to improvise a bit, but overall it went smoother than I had anticipated which is a good thing. Sometimes directions are vague, badly illustrated along with being written not so clearly. Not this time. We live in Minnesota and the winters sometimes can get pretty nasty up here. And since cold weather can make some plastics brittle and with the garage not fully insulated yet (I'm working on that thank you) it does get a bit chilly out there. Happily so far this first winter no issues. I've been in and out of these cabinets a few times in below zero weather without any difficulties. So overall we are very happy with these units. Just make sure you read the instructions closely (or maybe re-read them like I did in a couple places) and you should be good to go.

Suncast Wall Storage Cabinet, Platinum

Overall I'm happy with this cabinet. It took about 20 minutes to assemble at a leisurely pace. Mounting to the wall was very easy. Only 2 things keep it from 5 stars. (1) Price. Its plastic. They're making a fortune off this, but it's still a nice cabinet. (2) The way the doors close...I purchased this to hold hot tub filters and chemicals outside of one of my rentals. The door have a good 1/4" gap along the top. Mice, chipmunks, anything small can get in there pretty easily. I'm hoping the chemicals keep most things away. If this cabinet cost under $45 I would rate it 5 stars.

I purchased this cabinet to hang in our cabin at our lake property. I was looking for something that could withstand getting damp since we do not keep the cabin heated when not there. It's sturdy and was easy to put together and hang on the wall. The only thing I would change is that you can't open the left side cabinet door without opening the right side first. This is super inconvenient and not thought out. Fortunately since we are only using it at our cabin it shouldn't become too cumbersome, but if this was a cabinet that I used on a daily basis this could be a cause for return. Overall I'm happy with this purchase.

Ordered WALL cabinets for use on garage floor. I have a single car garage with hardly any extra available space for items one needs to keep in a garage. I already had old kitchen cabinets installed on garage wall but needed more storage within a 12 inch depth span. These cabinets work perfectly for that purpose.
I am so pleased with the ruggedness of them and are visually appealing too. I did switch the left and right doors so the recessed handles would be at the top rather than at the bottom. Works for me!
Will definitely buy more of this product in the future.

I purschased three of these. They were easy to assemble but there were a few parts that I had a difficult time put together because parts were made perfectly.

I hired some to assemble and they made it look easy. The picture appears to look as if you can use with gladiator tracks but in fact you can’t. This was the main reason I bought this. This item must be secured directly to the wall using the studs.

Although it’s not exactly what I had in mind for garage cabinet I decided to still use them and I am overall happy to have them.
