I was so needing a caddy to store my hobby tools in that would fit my desk and also not look awful. This organizer - being clear has a neat look to it - much better than the bunch of glass jars and small boxes I was using before. This one, unlike most the others I found online is big enough for just about all my tools to fit comfortably so that they are right where I need them - handy - and not buried in a drawer or falling off the desk into the floor when bumped. I weighed it and it's holding about 6lb of things. I have pliers, scissors, fids, markers, brushes, pottery tools, burnish dowels, tweezers, stuff for jewelry, glass cutting/marking, frit pouring, glazing brushes, sculpting tools etc... All this and there's still some room left and it still turns smoothly and doesn't seem as though I'm abusing or overtaxing its ability. It may have been designed for condiments in the kitchen but if you have a lot of studio tools and would love to keep them on hand then try this little organizer - you won't be disappointed...
I am not sure why they would promote this as a kitchen organizer in the item description, considering that even the sticker on the item itself says it's a vanity one, but this is really a makeup brush and other tool holder. I see the only negative feedback is precisely regarding this point. For its intended purpose the organizer is amazing, it holds an insane amount of makeup brushes, like over a 100 if you have that many, and of course can be used for any other items you might want to store upright, like combs or lip glosses or mascara. The little outer compartments are handy for foundation sponges and any other little items you might not have a proper location for in your makeup organization system. Being a spinner this is also an improvement over the previous similar makeup brush organizer I had - https://www.amazon.com/InterDesign-Cosmetic-Organizer-Cabinet-Products/dp/B00FZJV49C/ - not to mention this one is larger. I couldn't be happier with this purchase, highly recommend.
Excellent spinning tray. I am using it to hold my paint brushes. The compartments are wide enough but a little short to hold taller brushes. I love it and I'm happy with it
