This product worked perfectly for the small space needed in my closet as a shoe organizer. I was very happy because I was having a difficult time finding any shoe organize to fit my 22" space. It will adjust larger. Look at max length on description. Super Easy assmbly. I stacked 2 on top of eachother to hold appproximately 3-4 pair of shoes on each shelf.
We put this in our linen closet so that we could have it more organized. Add a few baskets and we've got more room and organization for our vitamins, kleenex and personal items.
I needed shoe storage for sandals. The unit needed to fit in a specific width between two wall supports. This expandable unit worked well. It was plenty sturdy enough for my shoes, not sure for heavy hiking types however
