I live in a small Seattle apartment that was built in 1946. The kitchen was remodeled but has super narrow drawers. I am writing this review for the people like me who are questioning if this will actually fit in their narrow drawers. I looked at a lot of dividers and I'm really happy with this one. You can see from my pictures that the width of the interior of my drawer is just over 9 1/2 inches. When I bought this I was assuming that I would have to take out the piece that extends. As you can see from the photo this fits in my drawer perfectly as is.
One note: the stock photos on the listing led me to believe that the gray divider pieces would be covered with rubber- they are not- they are simply hard plastic. I was a little disappointed at first but I actually think it is better that they are not covered in rubber as I think they will be easy to clean and will stay looking nice for a long time.
In summary I am very pleased and hope that my review helps someone decide whether or not this will fit in their drawer prior to purchase.
I used this drawer organizer for my kitchen knives and other various kitchen tools, such as pizza cutter, ice cream/ cookie scoops, etc. Before I got this, everything was a kitchen tool swill!,
This is organizer is amazing. Not only that it's good quality but it doesn't slip. I was tired of my old one slipping around & I always had to fix it. This stays in place & organizes my utensils beautifully. I love OXO. I always can count on them for good quality items that help around the house.
After trying several other styles of silverware organizers, I found this one. It arrived today and I am 100% pleased with the amount of silverware it holds as well as how well individual pieces are held in place by the raised dividers. The raised dividers are really the ingenious part of the tray because they allow the tray to hold more and to hold pieces well. Also, the expandable part fills the remaining width of your drawer, whatever amount that is for each person. OXO nailed it with this design.
I have very narrow drawers in an older kitchen with very limited storage space, so I ordered 2 of these. Unfortunately, it fit into the drawer width but not the length, the drawer was too short. So I did some rearranging and put it in the microwave cart. I was disappointed that I had to return the second one, but if I ever redo my kitchen, I'll order more of these.

These drawer organizers worked great for us, although I had to considerably downsize items in my kitchen utensil department and really think how to organize all items so they are still "accessible" at the right moment. The biggest challenge that I had is that the drawer did not expand or was long enough horizontally. For that reason it would not fit a few utensils that I had plus it would leave the empty space in the back and the organizer still slides a bit to the back once the drawer is open/closed multiple times. Something to consider for product improvement and this is the reason I did not feel like this product should be rated at 5 starts.
Overall it’s a great product. Fits exactly where I needed it to and it completely utilizes space available due to expandibility.
However, somehow, every few days it seems as if the act of putting utensils in it has caused it to slowly shrink up and I have to adjust the width slightly. I don’t know how this happens and otherwise it’s great, but it’s kind of annoying.
Brilliant sturdy product. Fits really well in my drawer although it doesn't extend fully. It will probably work best if your cutlery is of the same size so they nest nicely. I removed the clips from one of the sections for my measuring spoons, potato peeler and such. I ordered the grey one and the colour is nice and subtle. I couldn't find this larger size in my country so I imported it, at quite an extra cost, but it was really worth it!
I have owned this for almost a year now so I thought I have enough experience to give it a fair review. I have pretty narrow kitchen drawers, so that leaves me very few options for silverware organizers. I found this one and thought it was perfect.
The item arrived quickly and I transferred all my items over. I really love the compact design because it allows me to fit all my silverware next to each other. It also expands which is great if you have a larger drawer, but for me I can't use this feature.
Even though it's a great design it can only hold about 9 utensil in each area if you have nice quality silverware. With our old cheaper flat silverware it could hold around 12. Anything over that and it slides around and out of thier area. The dividers do adjust between each section so you can get the best fit.
Overall I am very happy with your purchase and if I had it to do over I would buy this again.
For many years, I have been looking for the perfect organizer. Leave it to Oxo to come up with exactly what I wanted. It is a nice large size and everything is adjustable. Your flatware is lined up perfectly. It is a great neutral color instead of black or white. Oxo deserves an award for this one.
