This solved my problem when my new Stove didn't fit up against the back wall, it was a 3" gap. I knew that meant sooner or later something I kept on that top sill of the Stove (oven timer, salt & pepper shakers, etc.) would slip off & fall behind the Stove creating a nightmare trying to get it back out from behind there. I looked at several Stove shelves on Amazon & selected this one & am thrilled with it. My gap is now reduced drastically & the back lip of the new shelf will prevent items from slipping off & falling behind the Stove. It has two strong magnets ensuring it stays in place. I worried this product would be junk & would look dumb on the top Stove sill, I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED, it looks Great (chrome on chrome) & solved my gap problem. A great thing is, if you're worried it may not work for your Stove/gap issue, on the shipping package is a huge notice that if you're not satisfied within 30 days send it back for a refund - it's a "No Brainer" - give it a try, I think you'll be happy you did! This shelf turned out to be just what I needed. I tested m stove for magnets after ordering and the pull was there, but not very strong, so I was worried. When placed correctly the shelf is securely attached and should stay in place. It’s pretty spacious, so I still have room to add more items. I’m so glad I decided to take a chance on this item.

I just received my Stainless Steel Stove Top Shelf and it was installed in less than 5 minutes! Love it. The magnets are super strong. I have the Samsung FX710BGS Freestanding gas stove and the shelf is a perfect fit...it doesn't really add any more width to my current top and I still have a small gap between the stove and the wall but the back lip will keep things from falling behind. (After looking closely at the second pic, I guess this shelf does add about an inch to the top). The shelf blends with my stove perfectly...my family probably won't even notice it for months, LOL. I thought it was priced high but after receiving it, it is worth the cost. Very happy with this purchase.
Update: Well, it did take a month before anyone noticed it and that was only because I was wiping the stove off...my husband noticed it is bent and if you look at pic #1, you can notice that the right end is slightly bent. It is now past the 30 days, so too late to exchange...bummer.
My only regret is that I didn't buy this YEARS ago. I have a teeny tiny kitchen, so every space counts. This gave me a whole new shelf and opened up a ton of counter space that had been cluttered with overflow spices/oils. Shipped faster than expected, couldn't be easier to attach, and works perfectly. My stove sits far enough forward that the shelf doesn't reach to the wall behind it, but since it has a little lip along the back, it still looks and functions just fine. If your kitchen space is limited, this is a great help.

My stove top is slightly curved so I was not sure if this shelf would work. But it did beautifully! The magnets are in the center of the shelf and help adhere it strongly to the top of the stove. I love having extra storage space for spices I use often in cooking.
This product is AMAZING....seriously opened box and walked to oven and the magnets attached right on! Boom, Done! The magnets are quite strong and seem to have attached a sturdy hold on the stove itself. My stove is brand new and has a slight curve to the top and this attached right on and made a flat surface to allow for some storage that was not possible before. I have white stove and purchased the stainless shelf to match my stainless small kitchen appliances....It created a very modern look.
This magnetic kitchen stove shelf is a blessing for those of us who have a gap between the wall and the back of the stove, due to the gas line connector installation.
To say it is easy to install is a farce, all it needs is to be put on the top of the stove upright back, the magnetic bottom of the shelf grabs to the stainless steel, and presto, a big worry of something falling behind the stove is relieved.
for such little money, it is very well made, attractive and matches perfectly a stainless steel stove.

This little shelf does just what it is supposed to do. It fit our 30" Samsung range perfectly and hold spices and other cooking ingredients like hot sauce securely. The Magnets work very well, and the whole thing is hardly noticeable. They really should make ranges already equipped with these. Since they don't, however, it is great that someone else produces them.
With no complaints, I am very happy I bought this.
I replaced my stove with a new LG Gas stove. Guess what? LG didn't allow a space underneath this stove for the gas hookup. So my stove sits about 4" away from the wall. I HATED HOW THIS LOOKED. My stove is black stainless steel, and the regular stainless steel shelf looks like it was made to be on this stove. I AM SO HAPPY to have that ugly space covered up!! LOVE THIS
