ATT: PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING THIS TO STAY ATTACHED (also would be great if manufacturer read this as well)
I am a smart healthy 47 year old business owner. I disclose this simply because I would like you to understand that I can
1) follow and understand directions very well
2) still posses plenty of brute physical strength to properly attach a suction cup
(it seems the manufacturer ASSUMES all complaints by customers of it not attaching properly fall into those two catagories)
I have a very nice home built just 1 year ago. So I have a nice deep stainless steel type sink that is new (no scratches that could interfer with suction) and should lend itself perfectly to a product like this. I got the product out of the box, read the instructions, installed it as directed, and the darn thing fell off within 2 minutes. I scratched my head, re-read the instructions to make sure I wasn't missing anything, compared the instructions to the ones on the side of the box and then tried again with some sever pushing on the center of the knob to release any air in the suction cup before twisting the knob and cranking it as far as it could go without breaking the thing. 5 minutes later it is sitting in the bottom of my sink (and this was with nothing in the thing) I tried two more times and same result. I came back here to look at all the negative reviews and saw a pattern that was identical to mine. I also saw the copy/paste response the company gave to each one where they simply repeated their instructions assuming the people were idiots and not following instructions properly.
Now as a business owner I understand you can't make EVERYBODY happy. I also understand that there are a certain percentage of people that will never be able to follow the instructions correctly. I get it. But some of these reviews seemed to be written by rather articulate and capable individuals. So i scratched my head some more and took another look at my holder. This is when I noticed a manufacturing defect. The angle of the weld on the holder to the basket was at an angle that created a spring tension on the entire unit from one of the robber coated forks sticking out too far. This also created the entire suction cup to naturally rest against a flat surface at an angle rather then flush. So when I installed it the entire unit was mechanically acting like a spring to push it OFF of my sink!
Now, instead of boxing the unit up and returning it, I wanted to see if I could fix this. So I took the unit to my garage, put it in my vice, and straightened that angle out so the suction cup sat flush against my sink without any tension pushing it away. And guess what? The darn thing works great. So to anyone having problems with it staying attached, see if you can slightly bend the mounting bracket to get rid of any spring tension pushing it away. And to the manufacturer, maybe do some better quality control on your product and STOP ASSUMING YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE IDIOTS AND USE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK TO LOOK FOR WAYS TO IMPROVE. You got a great looking product and design is great, please revisit quality control and customer satisfaction departments so you can take your company to the next level. Hope this helps a few people.
Great product! Among all the similar products I have tried (3+), this is the best one! Very strong suction, and easy installation. Great design!
My new single bowl sink was installed. Used to store my sponge and brush in the middle of my 50/50 bowl. With the new sink I was lost as to what to do with my sponge and brush. How would my dishes every get clean again?
Like a superhero Crown Choice came up with an easy to install, convenient option. Pull out of the box, locate an area on the side of the sink and peal off the plastic on the suction cup. Apply the suction cup to the side of the sink and tighten with the knob on the back of the suction cup. Place sponge in large sponge holder and brush in smaller brush holder.
2 1/2 minutes later all my problems were solved as I had an easy to use holder for my dish sponge and brush. Life is good!
This is EXACTLY what I needed for our sink in the office at work. I am not a sponge person (because they breed germs, but so does everything else!), but others in the office are. I like wash wands and this caddy fits both so we're all happy. The caddy will fit 2 small/regular sponges. There is a picture on Amazon showing 2 sponges and a wand in the caddy and the pic is true to form. We have one small and one long sponge in the caddy and the long one doesn't quite fit but that is not the caddy's fault. To fold the long one would be too bulky so maybe it will just disappear one day ;-) I had no problem with the suction. The company literally bends over backward to make certain you install it correctly. It's not difficult - it's like most things: when all else fails, read the instructions! The suction is extremely secure, everything drains nicely, the basket swivels to clean around and behind, there's no more drippy tools in or around the sink, and they're nestled side-by-side, and it all looks clean and neat.
I once bought car window shades with similar screw-cap suction cups and they were garbage. They didn't stay stuck. I initially had my doubts about this caddy for the same reasons but after reading reviews and claims from the company for success IF YOU INSTALL IT PROPERLY, I pretty much believed this would work and it does. The quality of the screw/suction on the caddy is far, far above the crappy window shades that wouldn't work.
One other reason this works so well for me is that the sink at work is deep and I have the caddy placed as far to the bottom as possible so I don't have to see the wash wand standing at attention at all times. I don't like to see my kitchen tools if I don't have to.
Thank you.
Our sink is stainless steel and several years old, so not shiny and smooth. I had a suction cup brush holder that worked fairly well, but every now and then it would fall off and to get it back securely required the stars to align just right. Eventually you'd get it to stick, but it took some more than a few attempts. This one worked the first time and it's way more solid feeling. The other brush holder would be hard to remove once you got it on just right, but you could slide it around fairly easy. This one is like it's glued to the sink. I've had it for 4 months now and it hasn't budged.

Definitely should have read the reviews more. This fell off within a week. The instructions were intense. Made me feel like I was doing it wrong. How hard should it be, really? But when I read the review about the bend in the basket, I realized mine had the same issue, the basket was bending and pushing it away from the suction. So I bent it back and it's been on ever since. Definitely a design flaw the manufacturer should consider fixing. I do like having my brushes and sponges in one place, so I would say do a little homework and go for it.
I followed the video and it has been hanging three weeks hasnt moved yet very handy on an island sink with no space for sponges and actually holds two brushes very impressive highly recommended
I really like the tidiness and simplicity of this sink caddy. Installation was easy and the instructions are precise and have pictures to assure you understand. I installed it on a squeaky clean porcelain over cast iron sink. Be sure to dry surface completely after scrubbing clean. I really hated the way my old plastic caddy would mold no matter how clean I kept it. I have no worries with this caddy as it is made of stainless and doesn't hold water. Would like a smaller version of this for my vegetable sink (bar sink) that's beside my prep counter. I could put my veggie brush in a smaller version.
Seriously! I bought this sponge holder because the one I had kept falling off and drove me nuts. It was also dingy plastic. The second I pulled this out of the package I knew I had a winner. It is just like my gecko shower basket holder that I got on Amazon but for a kitchen sink. Easy to install and it actually stays and does not move!
I like the fact that this is Stainless Steel and well made. I especially like the loops on the end for a handled scrubber. It would be an improvement if the knob to pull the suction cup was knurled or had flats for a tool to make it easier to turn. Maybe they made it as they did to prevent over tightening. They did mold in index marks to visually see how much you have turned the knob, however there are 4 identical marks. One should be different to indicate the number of turns.
