I really like these containers; however, I deducted one star in my rating because the two jars with their lids on top are packaged right up against each other with a strip of cardboard and plastic which causes the lids to rub together in shipping. Both lids have chaff marks. I did not return these jars because they are exactly what I was after for cotton swabs on the bathroom counter (instead of in a drawer). I figure If I really want to, I can spray paint the lids. Q-Tip brand swabs fit perfectly in this jar. Even as the supply of swabs goes down, it makes a neat pattern on the outside of the jar since the jar is ribbed, not clear. I was concerned that it would be difficult to pull just one swab from the jar but it is really a lot easier than pulling one from a box in a drawer. Love it...functional and looks good too!
Nice Look for not much money. We are preparing to stage our home to sell and needed something to go with the new brass fixtures, etc in our master bath. I didn't want to spend much money since we are selling and moving into a motorhome so when I found this, I thought I would try it. It looks good but I'm not sure how long it will hold up when the top is cleaned repeatedly with a cleaner or Windex, etc to remove the hairspray that might tend to fall on them.
After purchasing this set, I will be buying more! They are very nice & look great on my bathroom vanity. They're great for storing items within reach instead of leaving things like Q-tips, cotton balls, etc., in their packaging & having to retrieve them from a linen closet or vanity drawer/door when you need them.
