Much nicer than the plastic one we replaced. The kit didn't come with the screws to attach the shelves to the doors. The instructions said to use #8 x 5/8" truss head screws. These would not have been long enough to make it through the 3/4" shelf (5/8" < 3/4"). I purchased #10 x 1 1/4" truss head screws at the hardware store and they worked for me.
Very easy to install and adjust. I do hope the durability is there long-term. Yes, the instructions and even the template could use some work (along with some missing screws). I will get "bolts" to replace the locking screws as the Phillips head screws are a bit lacking (shelf and shaft/adjustment).
It fit like a beautifully carved glove! This was a replacement for an older plastic unit which had broken. The new shelf is absolutely gorgeous, and very solidly constructed. It's been installed where the kids use it as a step ladder (though they shouldn't...) and it's holding up perfectly. I never needed the mount which came with it, because the bar, etc fit right into the old mounts. I've done lots of home repairs, but this one went so smoothly I was simply floored. I did have to drill the shelf to get screws through it for the door; the plastic shelf was 1/8" while this is about 3/4" thick on the door mount side.
I was tired of replacing the plastic junk lazy Susan's. This is a Quality wood product.
Sure it costs more, but if you're like me, and have no patients with low quality,
especially in long term items, like cabinetry...do it and forget it!
These look really nice and seem study, but as other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions are lacking. I used the template to put in the top bracket and floor base mount and the door didn't end up properly in place and I had to adjust them. The instructions left out putting on the plastic mounts below the wooden shelves, and although it does become pretty clear, it would create a nice flow to have that written. Beware when putting these plastic parts on not to use a power tool/ impact driver. One extra turn of force will leave you without any thread in the wood, so use a screw driver for this part. The pilot holes below the shelves seemed a bit large which may have contributed to this problem. Other posters have mentioned as well that there are no screws included to fasten the shelves to the cabinet door. The screw they recommend is #8 x 5/8. This screw is WAY too short. Take the advice of other reviewers and purchasing the #10 x 1/4 screws for this purpose. Overall, these do look great and are a huge step up from the plastic shelves, but be prepared for what could end up being a frustrating installation.

The shelf is really nice quality but the instructions and the template's directions need to be revised. First the shelf instructions in the template had different recommendations for the size of the drillbit for the exact same hole. Second the instructions completely left out the step where the shelf rod brackets needed to be installed. Lastly the screws to mount the doors were not included and the instructions recommended the wrong size. As stated by another user, 1 1/4" screws worked well and the 5/8" screws they recommended would have been way too small. Haven't used it very long, but so far we are very happy with the quality of the product, but for the money we paid, I would really expect all of the installation instructions to be correct.
This Rev-A-Shelf was for a replacement of the original shelf from our kitchen remodel of about 20 years ago. The new shelf is great. Even though this new shelf doesn’t store as many kitchen items as the old one due to the thickness of the new one, I love this upgrade. The heights of each shelf is a little higher and therefore items do not fall off the back of the shelf and get lost in the cabinets. The wood construction of the shelf is of a high quality.
Very sturdy shelves but instructions are worthless and will require a trip to hardware store to buy wood screws that are long enough.
This shelf system was a great replacement for the set of plastic shelves which were in the kitchen and broken.
The shelves are sturdy and look great.
It is great, after the 3 months and 3 different people it took to install the sucker! But that isn't the products fault.
