I was a little nervous about ordering this because there was only one customer review at the time, but I took a chance on it because I loved the way it looked. I'm so happy that I took that chance because I love this shelf! It was well packaged and was not damaged in any way. In fact, I ordered this among other things and it actually came in its own separate box within the larger box of items I ordered. You do have to put it together, but it only took me about 10 minutes and was very simple. It is made of real wood, is sturdy, and hold more books than I thought it would. I currently have 10 regular sized hardback books sitting on it and they fit well. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and so glad I decided to buy it!
I was surprised, and a bit perturbed, when the assembly instructions didn't really include any instructions at all, just an exploded diagram showing where the screws fit. Despite that, the shelf was incredibly easy to figure out and assemble. My only remaining concern is that the space to turn the screwdriver is a bit tight and I had to be careful of my knuckles while using. It was still a breeze to put together, and looks great in our kitchen/dining area, where it will hold all the cookbooks we've just had to purchase, since my husband was recently diagnosed with diabetes. This rack/shelf will help make learning a whole new way to cook and eat much simpler! Thank you!! (It's lovely to look at, too!)
It’s a very pretty shelf and holds more than I expected. It’s wide so putting it on a small table takes up a decent amount of space.
For the price it actually looks very nice, not cheap looking or self assembled. I’m happy with the purchase. Assembling it wasn’t bad, but if you’re using a drill go easy. Using a screwdriver takes forever but gets the job done.
Am keeping cookbooks in it. Fits well on top of the microwave. Not crazy about the barnwood gray but it's better than the white. Had difficulty assembling it. They showed the main piece as one piece whereas what I got was 2 pieces. We got it together though and are very satisfied with it.
Loving this shelf bookcase. This fits perfectly on top of our family piano in the living room. We keep our Bibles and hymnals there for easy access. I love The Rustic white look. It matches some of the decor in our house.

An especially stylish way to display books prominently on tables or desks, this tilted bookshelf with a vintage wood finish makes an ideal setting for cherished collectible books and special editions. The rustic finish complements country- or vintage-themed decors, or adds an aged accent to eclectic design schemes. The upward-canted angle allows easier perusal of spine titles, and also allows the stand to be used as a makeshift book cradle for reference books, or for cookbooks in the kitchen. Decidedly unconventional yet uniquely convenient, this tilted bookshelf makes large books a little more noticeable and usable.

Mine looked like the picture and was a super simple DIY job. I was even able to switch holes with the book ends and legs to squeeze an extra half inch for my books. Looks so good displaying my small Bible collection. Hoping to find the one I saw in tan for the kitchen, now.
Love this tilted shelf! Matches the kitchen perfectly and holds the books as intended!
This 70-year-young senior constructed this shelf in less than 30 minutes. Looks great and is sturdy. I am pleased with this product and this company.
I'm using this for my recipe books, it looks so fun on my kitchen counter and holds all my recipe books. I love that it's angled for seeing the spine of each one. Happy with my purchase!
I had been looking for a book trough for some time, and while there were some nice antique ones on eBay, they were expensive and for some reason all in Britain. I guess it's the "trough" that throws it. But even "desktop bookcase" doesn't get many hits in the US - this one here being one of the few exceptions. This is also one of the few times I bought something on Amazon that did not have a single review, but it caught my eye and here we are. And I have to say - this is a hidden gem. For one, it's made of actual wood! I was expecting cheap particle board for this price, but the pieces are all cut from wood boards. You can even smell the new stain on them when you open the box. It came in five simple parts along with a baggie of screws all of the same size. The boards have pre-drilled holes in them, making it pretty tough to mess up the assembly. Everything lined up real well, no odd cuts or misaligned edges. All told - very happy with this and it's absolutely worth the price.
