I'm using mine to store folding pocket knives. I purchases some self adhering red felt, carefully cut the sections accordingly and then lined mine.
Doing that before the slots were installed would be much easier. Perhaps the company should consider offering it as an option, given that folks such as myself may use this for purposes other than silverware.
