Wanted a storage system for cat-food that holds more than 12 cans since I buy in bulk. Gave this a shot, and after tinkering for a day made it work. Few notes:
-There are only three short pegs, with which you get just one narrow row.
-The fit range is listed by oz, when you really should check the diameter of the can. As you can see the 5.5 oz 9lives can will not fit into the middle row, it will go into the top but can snag on a peg sometimes.
-There are large cutouts on the sides of the panels, all cans would snag on them at back, which already has congestion problem. After I applied clear packing tape to both sides (to avoid having exposed glue) the problem went way.
-cans coming from double feed rows sometimes create self supporting shape in the back, so after you pull a can, new cans out the back don't rollout automatically, easily fixed with a push on cans in one of the feeding rows.
-I adapted it to hold 3 oz cat-food by cutting out a cardboard panel and pushing pegs through it (used short pegs). One column held 24 freshly arrived fancy feasts plus some thad I had from before.
-wanted to have it over on a shelf, should have checked dimensions. So it got stuffed nicely on an under-counter shelf, the righthand row is held together with tape and without issues dispenses 4oz canned fruit. And surprisingly outer side holds and dispenses 3oz cans without issues, so the treat food can be stored and dispensed separately (kudos for the adjustable design).
Note: even non modified row had issues dispensing tomato sauce until I taped over the openings.

based on customer reviews, I bought one; super easy to put together though had to use my fist for a hammer on a few rods and had to grab a pair of pliers for turning rods to lock in place because hands were to large to get a grip on them through the side rails . . . foolishly thought all I had to do was load the top and they would roll down to second and first levels but soon found I needed to load middle slots first and then top. wish for 4th row so they would truly be FIFO, but can manage. Better than what I had . . .
Careful, mine would not fit in cabinets of manufactured home; had to improvise. Now need one for daughter for CHristmas but afraid she would hate one this big.
I have a kitchen pantry well stock with a 6 month assortment of freeze dried foods, MREs and canned food for hurricane survival prep. All is well organized except for the cans... I recently discovered a few dozen items out-of-date and knew I needed a better system. I researched and found some very nice expensive options and then came across the FIFO Can Tracker. I was hesitant of buying a plastic canned food rack assuming the plastic would start to fold under the weight of 54 cans. Sooo.. I started with one rack to test.... I am very surprised at how durable it is. It fits regular cans well (beans, corn. Campbells soup) but does fit larger cans (Progresso soup, spaghetti sauce, etc.) ... I am on my fourth rack now and well stocked on vegis, evaporated milk, fruits, soups and other items. It is nice to be able to rotate the items out... I typically write the date on the can with a large black sharpie so I don't have to keep searching the can. OH!!!!!! And my favorite thing... the company always includes a free Air Nerds watermelon taffy with your order! They are tasty!
UPDATE: The racks area a few months old now and I've noticed they have began falling in. Some of the cans get hung up. They still work fine but -1 star.
We use this for 13 oz. canned dog food and 15 oz. canned vegetables. It is easy to maximize pantry space due to it's modular design. I bought a second tracker and connected 2 of the sections to the first one to make a 5 row tracker. This allowed me to completely fill the shelf and still left me one row to put on the shelf below. Unless you need a tracker for larger diameter cans, purchase this instead of the 30 can tracker. I returned a 30 can unit as it was either too tight for the cans to roll with one set of spacer pegs or the cans would fall out of the track with the next bigger pegs. This one is also very little taller than the 30 can tracker. We love the sanity it has brought to the pantry! No more constantly checking expiration dates on cans.

Love this organizer! It was easy to put together, and you can decide whether you want 3 equal sized openings, or if you'd rather have one smaller opening. I also like that I can add a 2nd set on and extend it into 6 openings. I plan to order another one to make it 6 wide. My pantry is so much better with this organizer! My cans aren't falling out anymore onto bare toes or curious puppy noses. I wish I had bought this years ago!
My apartment is tiny and pantry space is a scarce commodity. I also love to cook and have my go-to canned goods always on hand. I purchased two of these (6 rows) and they fit a standard can perfect. I love that my canned goods are being rotated (versus old expired stuff at the back of the shelf). These also make it easy to inventory what I need before heading out for a shopping trip.
The design appears to be maximizing its space. Meaning, it’s not using more space than it needs to. This rack, I think, actually helps create more space in my pantry by taking advantage of the vertical space.
Sturdy, not ugly, was relatively easy to assemble. Purchased and setup a few months ago and will probably last several years.
I love this can organizer! There were several bad reviews that indicated it was low quality plastic, hard to put together, and fell apart immediately. All of these are false. If they had problems putting it together, they just didn't read the well written, easy to understand and follow instructions. I had the whole thing put together in no time. If they fell apart, it was because they didn't follow the directions, which require you to turn the little "rod" to keep it in place. The plastic is heavy duty and they work like a charm! I am so pleased with my purchase! I have diced tomato products, smaller tomato sauce cans, etc. - cans of varying sizes all work beautifully in this!
While there are positive reviews there's a few negative so I was skeptical. I purchased one unit and tried it out for about a month before I bought the second. If you're looking for a great way to store canned food this is it! One unit holds three rows of 14 cans two units connected holds 7 rows of cans for a total of 98 cans. I will be buying two more. Recommend to assemble two or more units before you put cans in them :-). keep the extra pieces because if you need them in the future they are a bit pricey off the website. Definitely recommended!
I have to agree with the other reviews of this system. The positives are that it works for the most part as designed and is very sturdy. Once assembled I was able to take my two sets and join them to make seven rows instead of six.
My complaint is the same as everyone else, the middle row does not rotate. This is the biggest complaint as it defeats the reason I bought this set-up First In First Out. I just want to put the newest cans in the top and and have the oldest cans cycle downward to be the ones I pull out each time I grab a can. Now I have to maintain vigilant about the dates of my middle shelf cans. The other complaint is a small one, the system seems to only work with 15 oz cans, I have tried the smaller 10.5 ounce campbell soup cans and even with the small connectors they seem to be too big. It causes the cans to twist and become jammed if the sides are not right to the edge of the can. And my fix would be to redesign how the dowels work so they may be used at different sizes when using different cans. I hope the maker of this can think of what I'm saying... make several notches on either both ends of the dowel or just one end that way I can adjust the width to my cans. I'm sure they can look up standard sizes for cans and figure out how far they are supposed to be apart, it's called R&D.
I would like to say that I will be buying another two sets as they are by far the best "economy" option to FIFO without making something myself.
