Its no joke when I say that everyone should use these. They've transformed my kitchen. Its so much easier to keep things organized because every spice has a home now. Gone are the days of searching for where my husband put something or knocking over 10 spice bottles in the attempt to find the one I want. Smooth sliding action, easy to install. Super easy to pull the spices in and out of their little home because the black retaining straps are super stretchy cord.
We buy our organic spices in bulk and got matching glass containers that fit perfectly as well. Complete overhaul.
This is a really ingenious idea that I couldn't pass up. Anyone who loves to cook and bake can appreciate this design: the spice names are easy to see, you can also label each segment and organize by type and it's even easier to find things. I have used a number of storage methods... on the cabinet door (doesn't hold enough for me), and the stair style cabinet insert with 3 shelves. The stair style seemed fine over the years but not great; I was always frustrated because the spice names are hidden by each level below, so I end up pushing the spices around constantly in order to find the right one. AND I can't get all my spices on it. Boring. I have lots of spices, so I bought this item in a 3 and a 2 drawer. The total cost is around $140 with shipping, so it's the cadillac of spice racks and I wish it wasn't so costly, but... well, I can't find anything that does what I want like this does. This item would mean the most to serious cooks and anyone who likes having the dream kitchen with all the bells and whistles.
I bought four different racks (22x2x11, 3x2x11, 3x1x11, 4x1x11) to fit a narrow upper cupboard. They arrived as promised and were obviously packed with great care. Installation was straight forward and easy, and they operate as expected. Mounting the bases to wood cupboard shelves should be really easy for anyone who is even slightly handy. Because of the elastic bands that retain the spice jars, you can really fill up the space in your cupboard and yet, see everything.
The only downside to the amazing packing - I mean, the four units came in two larger boxes, with wrapping around the individual boxes inside, and then lots of cardboard spacers inside those boxes - is that it will pretty much fill up my paper recycling bin for the week. With all of the thought that has clearly gone into the design of these racks, perhaps the manufacturer can find a way to reduce the amount of packaging used, though the cardboard is way better than using styrofoam.
Love this spice rack. Looks like it was custom done. Very easy to install. One watchout - when measuring make sure to check to see if you have a lip on the inside bottom of your cabinet. I did and had to install on removable shelf which you are not supposed to do because the shelf will tip out. I was able to overcome this by securing the back of the shelf with pegs above the shelf (those holes inside the cabinet to put support pegs also work to ensure your shelf cannot tip out).
I bought these for my mother-in-law to replace her old, out-dated, yellowed plastic lazy susan. Installation was easy peasy, sturdy shelving, and easy sliding. The two-shelf unit may be a bit small for some people. Two shelves holds about 20 double-stacked small jars, so if you have the room, buy the 3 racks. I liked the space saving style of these spice racks.

I purchased three units for my new, dedicated spice cabinet. They are wonderful. I have over 70 spices and a larger unit that holds baking powder, cooking wine and other containers in close proximity to my range. These units are so well constructed, arrive packed to perfection. These racks are fantastic! They are incredibly well made, sturdy, and easy to install. The slides are fantastic, smooth, and extend fully making spice jars at the back of the rack easily accessible. There is not a day that goes by that I don't marvel about these racks.
I bought two double wide racks hoping I could make them fit into my standard 12" wide cabinet. That didn't work, so I had to install one on a shelf above the other. They still work nicely, but I think a single triple wide rack would have been a better choice.
My friends who cook with me all remark about how nicely these racks arrange my spice collection.
Excellent product. Thanks to prior reviews and pushing aside my hesitation of price, I'm very glad to have both the 5x1x11 and 22x2x11. I have 2 narrow cabinets above the range which could not accommodate larger sizes. Extremely easy and quick to install. A pleasure to find spices now. Take time to analyze your cabinets and how you will really use them and make the purchase. I ordered the powdered coated shelf (white) and am pleased. The maple shelf unit looks pretty... maybe the next house.
These are expensive but fix the problem of too many spices in too little space. We both 4 racks and now I can see everything and keep it tidy and in order. Unless you have a high cabinet, they won't fit the 6" larger spice bottles.
