My husband is always throwing his coat over a chair. And even though it isn't that much of a big deal... He's a farmer who has oil, dirt, etc. all over his coats!
After consideration, we decided to finally splurge and buy coat hooks. Well... After a short bit, we gave up on that idea.
We have a small house with narrow hallways. Pinning up / nailing up / screwing in hooks wouldn't work.
So, we decided to look around and see what other options there were. That's when we came across these over-the-door hooks. We bought them right away and I'm so glad that we did!
These things rock! They aren't hard to assemble (you just throw them over the door).
They blend in with the surroundings.
They look nice.
AND THEY ACTUALLY HOLD THE COATS! The hooks are VERY sturdy. My husband's coats are NOT thin or light. They are HEAVY, HEAVY, HEAVY! And very thick. I've thrown all three of his heavy coats (Wool, leather, etc.) onto these hooks and they stayed. And the hooks didn't bend or break.
If I ever need more hooks, I'm HANDS DOWN, going to buy another set of these hooks.
Tickled pink to have my clothes hanging rather than laying across furniture. Upon inspection I didn't notice any blemishes. The spot welds all seem secure, although I didn't push really hard on them. The ball tips also seem secure. I think those are the complaints I read in some of the reviews. It also matches my ORB knobs, handles and hinges. I love it, thanks, RM."
I can't say anything about durability because I have only had it for about 2 weeks, but it seems very sturdy and well-made. Very attractive. My only complaint is that it didn't fit over the door I wanted to put it on. It's an exterior door (1-5/8") and I wanted to hang coats, scarves, etc. but the door is wider than the hook. That was disappointing be but it's so pretty that I didn't want to return it so I put it in my bathroom. It fits inside doors just fine ( 1-1/4" in). I just suggest you measure the door before ordering.
I love this over the door coat rack & couldn't be any happier with my purchase. It not only looks nice, but more importantly, it's well made & it fits perfectly on my door. As you can see in my pictures, I have my winter coat, hats, bags, & several sweatshirts/ hoodies hanging on it. Even with all that on there, I could easily add more without it coming close to compromising it's structure. It would definitely recommend this style of coat hanger.... I think you will be just as pleased with it as I am. It's a nice one!
I was hesitant to purchase online (I want something sturdy, not going to bend or break when I put something on it), and this was it for me! It looks elegant and goes well with my decor.
I am hoping that it will help my children to remember not to leave damp towels on the floor, but I can’t ask for everything.

My second one, and I will buy more. We rent a small older house with minimal storage, all of our doors are white. These can go on the inside or the outside of a door and they blend in with a splash of sparkle. Fit my style perfectly.
Great item very sleek and looks great im my apartment. Ther great thing is that it's narrow and doesn't take up the whole door, but still had a lot of space to hang. Very neat and study. I definately recommend!
The hooks are *just* a little too wide for my door, but overall a great look and very sturdy. It extends about a foot down from the top of the door, so keep that in mind when attempting to use this door hook on taller doors.
Came in perfect shape, and fits my 1.75" door perfectly. Convenient way to store coats and purses! Not the strongest metal (could probably be easily bent), but it's strong enough to do what it is meant for here =)
I use the organizer to hang my hiking gear: Internal backpacks filled with sleeping bags, tent, airpads, etc. Approximately 15lbs of gear. The organizer fits easily over the door and looks nice.
