In-Drawer Bamboo Knife Block Holds 16 Knives (Not Included) Without Pointing Up PLUS a Slot for your Knife Sharpener! Noble Home & Chef Knife Organizer Made from Quality Moso Bamboo

Received the knife blockin excellent condition, I am impressed with the design. However upon placing the steak knives into the block, one steak knife blade (third one from the right) was 1/8 inch higher than the others. Close inspection of the block revealed that the dado of that grove was not cut to the bottom like the others were.
This forced me to use my Dremel equiped with a rotozip bit to finish the cut to the bottom, this made the knife sit evenly on the bottom like the others.
Just a note to let others know that the Dalstrong "Shogun" Series Steak Knife Sets fit perfectly in these steak knife grooves, as well as all other Dalstrong "Shogun" Series, with the exception of the Nakari, Cleaver, 12" Slicer and 10.25" Bread Knife.
Very satisfied with the presentation and organized workability this Knife block presents when populated with the Dalstrong "Shogun Series.

Noble needs to work on their Quality inspections, (Four Star instead of Five) Had I not owned a Dremel I would be returning this block.

Thanks Mike

This was part of a larger scheme to make cooking more enjoyable. It originated from being tired of stacking my pots and pans in the lower cabinet and having to sort through them and put them back every time I cooked. I'm going to attach pictures of the project's entirety in hopes of giving someone some ideas.

The first thing I noticed was it was very solid and precise. I cut the front of mine down so I would have more room in the back. It just so happened that there was a slot for every single knife in my set. Great quality and the icing on the cake that is my project!

For those who are looking at this and the similar product made by Fuboo In-Drawer Bamboo knife block Drawer Organizer and Holder ,fit for 12 knives and one sharpening steel] and cannot decide between the two:

Both are well made and should give good service;
the elevated block that holds the knives measures 10.5 inches; on the Fuboo it is 9.75;
the overall length of the bottom of the block is 16.75 inches, on the Fuboo it is 17.0;
the overall width of the bottom of the block is 8.75 inches, on the Fuboo is 9.0;
both will hold a 10 inch chef knife without exposing the tip but there is about 3/4 inch of the edge at the heel exposed on the Noble and over an inch exposed on the Fuboo

The additional exposure of the edge by the Fuboo led me to buy the Noble, and that is the one I recommend.

We have too many knives, and the knife blocks are way too unsightly on the counter. We need something to place our knives neatly away from view, and provide proper safety in accessing the knives. This is it! We wish it could have increased by 3 more knives, since our drawers are a bit wider than most average smaller homes. Overall, it's splendid to have.

Pros:
- All knives fit into the slot, even my 10in santoku and chef, with plenty of room to spare.
- All steak and smaller knives (paring, utility, etc.) fit quite well in the smaller slots.
- Width of the slots are perfect for most blades.
- Wood is soft enough to prevent edge from dulling too quickly, or destroying the edge like similar non-wood knife blocks. I use the steel before every use, and always keep my blades sharp like razors. This block reduce the amount of time I have to resharpen my blades from poor storages.

Cons:
- Width of slot will not support a cleaver. Yes, I have cleavers. I have to make my own holders for the cleavers in the same drawer.
- Slots at the edges don't have side supports for larger, heavier blades. Place all large and heavy blades more towards the center slots, while smaller and lighter blades at the edge slots.

Overall, I love the block. Went and purchase 2 more to store my other knives, after the first serve us well during our family's gathering in a very crowded kitchen.

Just what I was looking for after having all my knives professionally sharpened. (I previously kept them in a shallow drawer in cardboard sleeves). My largest knife is a 12-inch chefs' knife (10.125 in blade from tip to bolster) and it fits fine. I've only had it a few months, but it is holding up well. There isn't room in my work area for a magnetic wall bar and don't want to clutter my countertop with a block, so this was a great solution. In my shallow kitchen drawer (which I assume is standard dimensions; I'm not home now or I'd measure it) there is enough room for 3 peelers and my instant read thermometer between the bottom edge of the block and the end of the drawer and room for 3 long wooden spoons along the side.

Description

Why Choose an In-Drawer Knife Block?
In need of more counter space? Or is your knife drawer currently an enter-at-risk-of-impalement hazard? Save the fingers with our in-drawer knife block!

Which One?
Just any knife organizer won't solve all your problems. Many designs have an open back, which looks great until you close your drawer, and the knives go shooting out the back. Still with alternate designs, a heavy handle can leave your knife blades poking out of the blocks at their points. Not only is this a hazard for you and your drawer, it can dull your knives over time! Not exactly what we're looking for in a knife block...

Thankfully, Noble Home & Chef took all of these things into consideration when designing their in-drawer knife block!

Enhanced Design!

  • Includes slot for knife sharpener

  • Knife points don't stick up out of the block

  • Knives don't shoot out the end when you close the drawer

  • Carved slots make retrieving your steak knives easier

  • Larger knives are decently spaced so you can easily grab their handles

  • Knives lay flat and won't block drawer from opening

  • Eco-friendly Premium Moso Bamboo is strong, beautiful, and easy to clean

  • Quality and Elegant craftsmanship with no stray bamboo pieces

  • Holds 16 Knives PLUS knife sharpener (KNIVES and SHARPENER NOT INCLUDED)

  • Fits standard size drawers [17"L x 11.5"W x 2"H]

  • FDA, SGS, and LFGB Certified to meet and exceed the most stringent safety standards

  • What's in the box?
    One Bamboo Knife Block, Knives Not Included

    Now you'll have the counter space to try out that 20-ingredient, 42-step recipe you've been meaning to whip up!

    I really like this knife block. I can finally get the big block off my counter-top. It doesn't have a spot for cutlery scissors, but as luck would have it, there is enough space in my drawer I can put them just in front of the cutting block. The steak knives are a bit of a pain for me to pull out, but not too bad. My fingers don't fit well to get a hold of them the way the insert into the block profile. The block does a good job of keeping the knife blades isolated so you won't cut yourself and the blades are not banging on other utensils to make them dull.

    Love this! We recently moved. Our previous home had built in drawer organizers in the kitchen, and I admit I was a bit spoiled by them. I particularly loved the in-drawer knife holder, so I started looking for something similar. The Noble Home & Chef in-drawer knife block is way better than the one I had before - it surpassed my expectations. My old one only held 6 knives, whereas this one due to its ingenious design can hold 12. Not only does it house all of my chef's knives, but it also has room for my steak knives. This one is also better balanced than the one I had at my previous house. At my previous house, I had to put something under the handles to keep them from popping out of their slots. This one just works. The only issue I had was that it doesn't fit my drawer exactly. In order to keep it from sliding around, I used a Lipper Bamboo drawer divider, and it looks like it is built in. I wish that Noble Home & Chef made other drawer organizers - I would buy them all.

    My steak knives match my silverware set, so I have no need to use the upper portion for steak knives. I do have paring knives and cheese knives that fit very well there.

    I was hesitant to purchase, because I did not know if the width of the Cutco handles would fit in the steak Knife slots. It turns out the width of the Cutco handles are fine; the length of the handle is a little larger than the space that is provided in the holder.

    However, I'm very happy with having my knives more organized than what they were. I don't think the Cutco handle extending a little further than the space provided is a problem at all. I also have the knife sharpener on top of the knife holder. Before I had a search in the drawer for it.

    This knife holder allowed me to label the knives in each slot. I really like that.

    I definitely recommend the knife holder. The drawer is much more organized, and since the knives are labeled, it is easier to select the correct knife.

    This knife block is just what I needed!
    The knife block arrived on time, and was securely packaged. It fits nicely into the drawer of my prep station. The in-drawer knife block holds my complete set of Calphalon knives with the exception of my scissors, meat fork and tomato/bagel knife included with the set. My drawers are 16" wide, so there's plenty of room for the extra tools without creating clutter. The knives fit nicely into the slots, and there's plenty of room for removing the one(s) I need.
    I really like the way the knife block looks in my drawer, and that it allows me to create more room on my work space. It is a quality piece of workmanship . . . smooth finished surfaces and straight well fitting slots for easy insertion and removal of knives.
    This is a good purchase.

    I really wanted to move my knives from my counter block to a drawer...we have a new kitchen with lots of cabinet/storage space and I like having clear counters. I found this and was excited that if fit the dimensions I was looking for. It offers the perfect amount of storage and is a great quality. We've been using it for a few months know and I've noticed that the edges of the knife slots are splintering a bit. I imagine it's because the knife is making contact when we are putting them away. Overall it doesn't bother me much and the splinters come of easily without being noticeable.
