I do not use this as a pot lid holder but it works perfectly with a few revisions as an external hard drive holder. I had some of those clear plastic stretchy straps that come on nice dresses to help them stay on hangers. I tied those to the sides to hold in the hard drives. It worked perfectly for me. I do video work and have a LOT of drives to keep organized.
This product is great for organizing cabinets for both pot/pan tops and plastic container tops! I moved to a smaller house with much less kitchen storage, so this product really gave me more space. My pot/pan lids are no longer all over the place...they are nicely stored in one place. I got another holder for my plastic container lids. I can store them by size, and in one place, so it makes it easier to find the right size.
This is an awesome quality product, very sturdy and exactly what I was looking for. I bought these odd shaped plates from Villeroy & Boch. Beautiful plates however didnt look appealing stacked. This wonderful sorter did the job as you can see from the pictures I attached. Very elegant, nicely made and great quality. I have OCD and this item did the trick!

It holds all my farberwear lids with no problem, large to small. I thought the knobs would be an issue, like maybe lids would catch on each other as you pull them out but its fine.

Because they are made to screw in place. All the others l found I was going to comes up with some idea to attach to my kitchen shelf.
Works fine. Can't get too many lids in each slot. Thickness of lids can be a problem. Overall it keeps lids in one place.
