Device works well for an open sink. The basket is at a taper, so it will fit if your top sink opening dimensions is the same as the smallest size setting in the listing image. Wish is was a bit deeper, but you have to go to the larger width to get a basket with more depth. Would be nice if this one had a 6" drop, but at this same width.
I would say it is near perfect for the price. It would be perfect if it were be a couple of inches deeper because the utensils almost fall off the cradle thing when you put them in. Let's hope the stainless still is such.
I have a rather small kitchen and wanted to free more work surfaces. I use this drying rack over part of the sink. It can take variety of plate sized, a couple of mugs and other kitchen accessories. The black box for cutlery can take 4 sets. It can be easily removed for cleaning. I had 4 dishes and a skillet plus mugs and cutlery with no problem. I did not put a large pot on it, in order to avoid potentially damaging it. The rack can be easily removed and put on another surface such as a tray or just drying cloth. The adjustable arms insure that I'll be able to use on a different sink size in the future.

I like the way it sits low in my sink. Also, the clear soft plastic grippers that lay on your sink so that the dish drainer doesn't move. The utility basket is a plus as most drainers don't come with one.
I recently remodeled my kitchen and changed my sink from a 60-40 split to a 50-50 split. The rack fits great over the new sink. The sink dimensions are 15 1/2 long by 14 1/2 wide. It is easily stored in the cabinet under the sink when not in use although I usually leave it up all the time since it sits close to the counter and does not take up valuable counter space. It holds more than I originally thought it would when I took it out of the box. Overall, it works great for me.

When I first came across this product I said no way am I spending that much money on something to dry my dishes. But then after lots of research I decided to give it a try. It's nearly perfect and really works well. The only thing I wish was different is the spout that directs water to the sink could be a little longer. Probably not an issue for most but my sink has a double lip on the top and this only gets across the first one so water runs onto the second lip and around. Not really a problem I would just rather it could reach into the sink directly. It is worth the cost, there is a lot of thought on the design and it functions great. I like how the wine rack comes off since I rarely drink wine I can just put it on as needed. If the manufacturer changed the design of the wine rack it could easily accommodate other things such as cutting boards. Hint to manufacturer....
This is a great rack.Very helpful when cooking meals.Allows you to clean and drain as you go along. I like the little utensil container,my old one did not have one. This one is for my Mom.Her old one started looking shabby.She will love this new and improved one. I'll probably order one for me in the future.Well made and good value.
