Up until recently, my spices were all piled up on a shelf in no particular order, making me a very sad camper. Then I found these shelves. I put two of them on my pantry door and now I can easily find what I need when I need it with them all arranged neatly in alphabetical order.. I can also stand in front of the pantry gazing lovingly at all of my spices and smile, knowing I'll never have a disorderly pile of jars again.
The only problem? I need a third one because I have too many spices. XD
This is a great spice rack. First of all, it arrived very quickly and was packaged very well. I looked for something to meet my needs for several years and finally settled on this item. I found that on a lot of the racks the depth of the shelves was just too deep. I wanted something that would accomodate standard sized spice bottles, not boxes of tea or the jumbo spice bottles from Costco. The shelf depth on this rack is perfect. They are slightly deeper than the bottles so that they are easy to get in and out but not so deep as to have the bottles rattling around on the shelf. The rack is very sturdy with a reinforced slot for a screw at each corner and it's very well finised. It holds 36 standard spice bottles which is unfortunately about half of what I need so I will be purchasing an identical rack to accomodate the rest of my spices very soon.
This is a great product with only one small downfall if you're mounting it on a hallow-core door.
It is sturdy enough to hold up without being heavy. The mesh on and around the shelves allows for small bottles (essential oils) to be held without worrying about them slipping out, while still allowing you to read the labels on the bottles. The shelves are spaced far enough apart to easily get tall spice jars in and out, and deep enough to be able to stack two of the short spices. Mounted inside my pantry door, it is the same depth as the door jamb, allowing the door to shut without the rack hitting the pantry shelves.
The one downfall I found for my purposes: I mounted it on the inside of my hallow-core pantry door, but the holes for mounting were almost too close together to be able to get all four of them into the thickest part of the door. We were just able to make it work by screwing the right side in at a slight angle, but it took some work. (You may be able to see in one of the pictures how close the screw is to the recessed section of the door). Had they been even an 1/8 or 1/4 inch farther apart, it would have been perfect.
Overall, I find it to be a great product and will be ordering a second one to house the rest of my spices and all of my essential oil bottles.
Fit perfectly on our pantry door. I liked the screen as opposed to rods on the shelves. Easy to put small containers on the shelves. My wife wanted it in white but was not available. So, just sprayed it with aerosol paint.
heavy duty, would not mount in drywall without a stud behind to hold the weight (or a gorilla hook, not the drywall inserts they send you). it's rather wide, and really only fits on the back of a door, so realize that as you are figuring out where to mount it. I dont' have any cupboard doors wide enough. This being said, my little spices are all alphabetized now and I'm extremely happy!

Very nicely made and even comes with screws! My wife highly recommends this product to organize all your small cooking items. We use it in the RV on the pantry door. Helps with the limited space in RV's.
As you can see from the pictures, I've attached the spice rack to my island -- it was a perfect fit! The only problem I had was that some of my spices were in bigger bottles and their names were hidden by the rack, so I had to make labels for them so I could see what they were. This rack has saved so much space and has made my life so much easier than trying to go through lots of spice bottles in a cupboard -- I can find any spice within seconds! The rack is sturdy and well-built and was certainly perfect for what I needed (and it looks like it actually came with the island, don't you think?) I would give this rack a 10+ rating!
I received mine with a slight problem. Some corners are dent and sharp because it’s not well covered with paint. Overall it’s a good product infact i just ordered another one. I hope i’m not getting the same problem.
This was very easy to mount on the wall, looks very nice, and feels quite sturdy. I use all Penzey's spices, and this is perfect for the larger, 1/2 cup jars from them. I needed to find a way to store my spices in my small kitchen and this was exactly what i needed.
I needed a place to put all of my Penzey spices and this holds a lot. It was super easy to install over my sink. The screws came with it, plus the wall anchors that I didn't use. It's very sturdy. The only downside to this shelf is that the mesh hides the name of spices in shorter jars, but I am hesitant to get something that isn't this heavy-duty to hold a lot of jars. I just squint or pull them out. I definitely recommend this product.
