Beautiful shelves! Don't listen to the reviews saying the wood looks cheap...these are gorgeous! I mounted mine on studs and they hold super heavy books. Really blessed with this new edition to my room. Absolutely lovely!
Love the shelf! I wanted some sort of floating shelf and this price was right plus it came with the boards. (Time saver for me) I needed the size adjusted so I cut about 12” off the boards, so it would fit in a space above a toilet, and then installed the top shelf brackets with my own heavy duty (screw in) anchors. The boards all curve in different ways, but that works fine for what I’m using it for. I’m also adding extra support to the underside of each shelf with a very small metal L shape bracket, then disguising the bracket with a bit of the wall color. When you do that it can hold a good amount of weight.

For the most part, this is a great shelf, especially for the money. The "smell" noted by other reviewers is actually due to the (very surprising) fact that the shelf boards are solid cedar! Definitely wasn't expecting that, particularly from a $50 shelf, but it was a pleasant surprise. I will say, the fact that the shelf only hangs from two screws is a serious design flaw, especially if you plan on putting anything heavy on it. Definitely make sure you screw it into wall studs, rather than using drywall screws. I would also recommend using a couple pairs of corner brackets to secure the bottom two shelves to the wall. They won't be weight-bearing, they'll just give it some stability. I happened to have some in my stash of random hardware, so I just screwed them into the boards before I inserted them into the metal frame, then screwed them into the wall, lining them up with the same studs I used for the top screws.
I love this shelf! It was just what we wanted to redecorate our living room. It has plenty of shelf room. Only thing I will warn about is you will need to use small brackets to secure it to the wall, otherwise it will move. We didn’t really mind, but some might if you didn’t know that before buying it.
Love! If you look at the picture we put the top brackets on the studs and moved the lower ones out to the edge. We did also add a few L brackets to make the whole thing more sturdy! It definitely has a rustic farm look. And the box smells of wood when you open it. Strange to add in a review, but it smells nice! I'll probably be getting another one for the other side of the room because I really love the look once installed!

I love these shelves. I ended up cutting the wood boards in half to get the shelves to the size we needed for our front window, and then setting half of another board on top. For our purposes these shelves are great. They do sway side to side if you take things on and off these shelves, but I won’t be moving these plants so I do not feel the need for extra reinforcement. If you were using for books or anything that was frequently put on and taken off the shelf you may want to put an “l” bracket on the bottom shelf to keep the unit solid. I will most likely be purchasing another set for another wall in our front living room. I only wish you could purchase extra brackets for the shelf without the wood since we have 3 extra boards now from the two sets I purchased.
I used this shelf to reorganize my room space. Love it! Its really simple to connect together and the smell of wood is great ❤ i used different anchors though to support up to 80 pounds. Wasnt sure how much the anchors it came with would support. Thinking of getting another wooden panel for the very top though to make it 4 shelves. Only problem for me is that its like a swing set up, where if you only want to place something light be careful because the bottom area shifts without any weight on it. Im planing on buying some tiny hooks to secure the bottom to the wall. This way it wont shift when its empty.
I bought this kind of shelf for a reason. The area behind the shelf cannot have anything mounted to it, except are the very top, but I really needed a shelf in the new bathroom. It only attaches at the top. The rest of the shelf "floats". It is fully customizable in length (top to bottom) and width. I had to cut the wood shelves down a couple inches and left the bottom altogether. The cedar smell is pretty strong, but its not real noticeable now. I like the cedar smell.
Very cute and worth the price, I was surprised however at how it was hung. The entire thing hangs on two screws from the top bracket, each metal bracket below hangs by the wooden shelf (which is real wood by the way, love). Without further stabilization it will swing very easily, almost impossible for anything substantial to be placed on it. As is, I didn’t feel comfortable placing frames/glass items on it, that’s how unstable it was. I reinforced each metal bracket to the wall making it much more load bearing. While this isn’t recommendation in the provided install instructions, I definitely think this is worth it's price. Wood plans vary between 5.75-6 inches, slim enough to hug the wall while also wide enough to hold books, frames, potted plants etc. Definitely would recommend!
