Great quality & perfect size. Mine is holding 4 pair of tongs of various sizes, 3 stainless steel spatulas, 4 stainless steel spoons, 1 stainless steel fork, a wore whisk, a spaghetti grabber & a large stainless steel potato masher. There was still room to put some chopsticks in there & it is not so full that things are difficult to take out.
The color is a true red on the outside & a true white on the inside. The Ceramic is thick, not cracked or chipped & very well made. I do recommend this product.
I already had stainless steel bowls. Everything I looked at wanted to sell me a riser including bowls which I did not need. These are perfect!!! They are heavy, good looking, and the size is perfect. Inside diameter of the crock is 5-5/8 inches. My bowls have an outside diameter of 6.5 inches including the rim. subtracting 3/8 inch on each side reduces the bowl diameter to 5.85 inches tapering down to 4-5/8 inches at the bottom. The end result is the top edge of the bowl 7.0 inches high from the floor and the bottom of the bowl 2.25 inches below the top of the bowl. This my be an unusual use for these crocks--But, IT WORKS GREAT--LOVE THEM!!!
Ordered two of these at the same time as I needed one for metal and one for wood. I love the pieces on their own but side by side the are not the same color. One is a brighter red than the other and is 1/4" taller than. But I was still so impressed with them that I decided to keep them anyway. I doubt anyone else would even notice the difference in them.
As I'm purchasing more and more silicon and nylon cooking utensils for my Anolon cookware, I was finding my utensil crock was more than stuffed and I was finding myself stuffing these utensils in a drawer that was also getting crammed and things were getting harder and harder to find. So, I started looking at my FAVORITE place to shop - amazon.com - and saw this large-mouth tool crock and based on other reviews, thought it would fit the bill for my needs.
When it arrived I was very pleased with the quality and most importantly the size. I now have all my silicon, wooden and nylon utensils in this one - spoons, ladels, turners and even my potato masher and I have room to spare.
I plan on ordering another one for my stainless and other metal utensils so I can keep them separate and not grab one by mistake when using my Anolon cookware.
UPDATE 9/21/13: STILL LOVING THIS and I did buy my second one!
I love this utensil crock. It is substantial, in size and weight, meaning you can load it up with no fear of tipping over. It is big enough to hold a lot of utensils and still not be so crowded that it's a struggle adding utensils or pulling them out. If it gets spattered with grease or, as in my case, whipping cream, it is easy to clean. On top of that, it looks gorgeous!
Most of the ceramic utensil crocks I saw, while searching for a new one, were only 5" - 6" inches tall. If you're going to put long-handled utensils in the crock, that just isn't tall enough. The extra height on this crock keeps the longer utensils from leaning out almost horizontally (not to mention falling out), as they would with a shorter crock.
I added an image above with the measurements of some of the utensils in it, to give you a better idea of how it looks in use. If you're going to put long handled utensils in it, as I have, it does take up more space as they lean out. But you can't beat this crock for being handy, functional and really good looking.

Great size for the larger kitchen tools I wanted to put in it. The color almost perfectly matches the Fiesta red I have for a butter dish I leave on the counter, so that's great. It is sturdy and will not tip with the bigger items in it as you take them out and put them back. I do like this item a lot. It does exactly what I wanted.
This is a great crock and nicely sized for the price. But the sticker showing on the image is real. It took about 20 minutes of scrubbing to get the label off. It was annoying, especially when there are so many other options for adhesive.
These crocks are exactly as described and shown in the picture. They fit kitchen utensils perfectly. Their weight and size is exactly what i was looking for. They look stylish and classy in my kitchen (since I have very little drawer space) on the counter, though I'm not a fan of items on the counter. The black is very crisp and pure color. I lined the bottom of mine with shelf rubber so dropping stainless steel untensils down in would not chip or destruct the inside bottom in any way, plus its a lot quieter. They wipe clean easily and look as new a year later as they did the day I bought them. I have three of them as they also fit inside the under-stove cabinet on the ledge.
Great product large enough for all the cooking utensils. But...... taking the label off was a pain and the glue on the back of label would NOT come off
I was so pleased when this utensil crock arrived today! The color is a rich, true red - no orange tinge with mine - perfect for my kitchen with pops of red here and there.. I was surprised by how large the crock appeared to be and even measured it. The measurements are spot on - it's 7" tall and just under 7" wide but seems so much bigger. I've had crocks like this before but this one actually holds EVERYTHING in my large utensil drawer with plenty of room to easily access what I need when I need it. Quite happy and would highly recommend - quality item for a great price!
